The Last Day of 2021

 Wow! We made it.

Be sure to check out our mini year book. I call it mini because not all of R3 2021 were able to contribute. It is really great though, filled with happy memories for everyone to enjoy.

During our Live Prizegiving this week, I know that some of our awesome whanau wanted to attend but couldn't. Apologies for this and please see the video on our school website to find out our special award winners.

I think we have all been winners this year. It is time now to reflect on the year that has been. The good and the not so good and start planning how to move forward next year.

Take care over the long, silly season whanau. Take time to visit whanau and relax.

Can't wait to see you all refreshed next year.

Kia kaha everyone!

Nearly at the end...

 Kia Ora Whanau,

Wow have we been busy since opening our school. We have had roughly half of our middle students return to school and half choosing to learn from home. All learners are working from the awesome choice board learning slides created by our amazing middle team teachers. I must say- the slide just keep getting better and better. Learners are learning and enjoy sharing their discoveries with each other. Make sure you check out our student blogs and leave a comment when you can.
Looking forward to the last week of the 2021 school year. It has not been how anyone expected it to be, but it has been great!

Week 5 Term 4

 Kia Ora Whanau,

A lot has happened in the last couple of weeks...
I have have been able to meet some middle schoolers in person and see some amazing learning happening both at school and at home.
The most important things are that we are safe and that we are learning.
I am so proud of our Middle School Team! Our teachers, adults and children are working so hard to support each other. Kindness is everywhere.
Please remember that is is good try new things, mistakes are an important part of learning and you only fail when you don't try...
Look forward to seeing what the coming week has to offer.

Kia kaha, whanau!

Week 3 Term 4 Book Week Continued...

Kia Ora Room 3 Whanau,

This week we celebrated the end of Book Week by dressing up as a book character for our Middle Team Assembly. It was so great to see everyone who made an effort to use what they had avaialable in their bubbles. I keep getting blown away what our Middle Team children can do!

Diwali was also celebrated this week. Room 3 enjoyed viewing videos of making sweets, seeing photos of families dressed up and seeing beautiful rangoli being made.

Please keep viewing and commenting on our student blogs, as this helps us to maintain motivation because we know that we have an audience that our posts are reaching.

Keep up the great work Room 3. I can't wait to see what you come up with next...

Week 2 Term 4

Our innovation theme was in full swing this week.

Room 3 students particulary enjoyed the golden egg challenge this week. We kept coming up with creative ideas to get the egg down from the beanstalk. Some ideas included creating a soft landing place, rolling down from a height and wrapping up the egg before dropping it! Check out more on our student blogs.

We are great at sharing our leanring and expertise with others. Our 2nd daily Meet is where we inspire others by sharing our leanring tasks. We also give and recieve feedback to each other and help each other out with technical or presentation difficulties.

Creating Kahoots! has been another love of ours this week. We are leanring so much about making Kahoots! by giving it a go and playing each others quizzes and giving feedback. Practise will eventually make perfect!

So glad we are a helpful, creative and inspiring class! I really look forward to seeing what you and your whanau have been up to each day.

Keep up the great work Room 3 Whanau!

Week 1 Term 4

Although we were sad to get the news that we would not be going into class this week; Room 3 have been doing amazing learning fromt he safety of their bubbles!

We have been meeting twice a day, completing our learning and sharing learning tasks. Our learning is shared with our friends and teachers, during our Google Meet sessions and on our blogs.

Go to our Room 3 Student Blogs to have a go at some of our pick-a-path stories or read a chain story. Don't forget to leave a comment about our learning or a suggestion for what you would like to see as learn about next.

I am so impressed by the effort that Room 3 students and their whanau are putting into learning.

Kia kaha whanau,
