Today in our Cybersmart lesson with Mrs Cameron we were learning about how to comment in a helpful and thoughtful way.




I really enjoyed this lesson because we got to use a new website to create our own comic strips. It was fun and an easy website to use.

The busy Term Three

Welcome back to school for Term Three, we are all excited to get started on our learning this term. Room 12 is especially looking forward to the following events this term; Wheels day, Wearable Arts, Using our awesome bike track, Cross Country, 3 Way Conferences and our fantastic classroom learning.

Inquiry Unit

In Term 2 our Inquiry topic was Balance. We have learnt about different aspects of balance. Check out some of our work and pictures in the Slideshow below.

Autumn

We are well and truly in the midst of Autumn. Here at school we have been making the most of the abundance of leaves outside our classroom. We have been creating leaf piles and crunching through the leaves with our friends during breaks. We have also been using the leaves in class for our art. We created portraits of ourselves using leaves for our hair! To go along with our portraits we created diamante poems about Autumn.

Our Digital Footprint

As part of our Cyber Smart lessons we have been learning about the trail that we leave behind online. We have been talking about making Cyber Smart decisions so that we keep ourselves safe. As a class we looked at what steps to undertake before we post anything online.

Hiwi the Kiwi

On Monday May 6th we were lucky enough to have the Minstrel and his wife visit our school. They came to teach us about the importance of fishing for the future and looking after ourselves on the water.
The Minstrel sang songs about these messages and lots of  people won prizes for answering questions correctly.

Welcome back to Term Two

Hello everyone,

I hope that you all had a good and relaxing holiday break. We are all back at school now and right back into our learning routines.
Please remember to bring to school your charged Chromebook each day so that you can use this for your learning.
We have got Youthtown sports running this term on Thursdays in the even weeks. This program continues despite the weather.
